CROSSROADS is a psychotherapy group for parents and families feeling frustrated by the mental health system and struggling with child behavior(s).
If you a parent struggling with a child (child, adolescent, or adult) who has a mental health condition or behavioral health concern, this monthly group is for you.
CROSSROADS is a new group effort at Anchored Child & Family Counseling for parents of children, teens, or adult children with mental health and behavioral problems.
Groups focus extensively on the challenges faced with psychological and emotional trauma, parent-child conflict, severe mental illness and other mental health conditions, complicated family dynamics, and a confusing mental health system.
Groups occur yearly, once a month, for 3 months (March, April, and May) 2:00pm-3:45pm on Friday. The goal of the therapist-led group is to empower, educate, restore, and re-build parents who are feeling discouraged, confused, and frustrated.
In these groups, I provide education, listen to your challenges/opinions, and explain different approaches you (or your family) can take to achieve a higher level of personal functioning. Groups are supportive and reflective with the goal of restoring hope and providing direction.
