Once you place a call to my office for psychotherapy, I will confirm the name of your policy and ask for the member ID number.
Having this information will help me determine if I accept your insurance and whether or not you have a copayment or co-insurance.
After your first appointment is billed to your insurance, the insurance plan will send me the status of your claim and what is (or is not) owed to the provider for the service obtained.
If you have questions about your insurance policy before the first appointment, please call the member services number on the back of your card and ask about charges, copayments, claims, etc.
I currently take ALL insurance policies in PA. However, there are some specific plans, Employee Assistance Programs, or private insurance plans I may not take. Please confirm with me at the time of scheduling your appointment. Although I am licensed in OH as well, I do not currently take insurance under that state. Current plans include:
-CHIP/UPMC For Kids
_Blue Cross, Blue Shield
-Aetna Better Health
-UPMC For You
-United Community Health
