Trips Out of Town: Trauma-Based Symposium: NBCC Keynote

They require tons of patience, travel smarts or a sense of direction, and emotional stamina.

Although there were some challenges I share some of my trip in the above video.

For me, wherever I am going has to be worth the trip, stops, poor drivers, new people (some nice and some not so nice!), etc. But this trip was certainly worth it call!

I recently made a trip to Atlanta Georgia at the Bridging The Gap Symposium. The event was hosted by the National Board For Certified Counselors’ Foundation. I am very proud of their outreach and work in the field.

I remember doing this training with the #NBCC 2 years ago which led to my #keynote speech at the Bridging The Gap Symposium.

It’s sad to say that nothing has really changed in our #mentalhealth system for people of color of ALL ethnicities. We continue to struggle with access to services, especially during this time of year. It’s important we learn about the gaps so that we can fix it.
